Dr. Nada Eltaiba

Biography

Nada Eltaiba is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia and a Senior Lecturer in Social Work and Social Policy. She is currently employed as an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at the German Jordanian University. Her research interests encompass mental health, cross-cultural practice, religion, and spirituality, particularly focusing on refugee mental health and ethics in social work. Nada has extensive experience as a social work practitioner in health and community settings across Australia, Qatar, and Jordan. She has contributed to the education of social work students in various institutions, including the University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Al-Balqa University, and Qatar University. She aims to support social work students in becoming competent practitioners who value collaboration and open learning. Her funding history includes various projects aimed at improving mental health services for adolescents in Qatar and research related to ethics in social work. Nada has also served as a guest editor for the International Social Work Journal and has an active presence in research related to UN Sustainable Development Goals. She is dedicated to developing a professional social work identity among her students.
