Biography

Nadav studied mathematics and physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he earned his PhD under the supervision of Professor David J. Gross at Princeton University. He spent a significant period at the Institute for Theoretical Physics in Santa Barbara. Following graduation, he held research positions at the University of Southern California, Weizmann Institute, Niels Bohr Institute, and Humboldt University. In 2010, Nadav was awarded an STFC advanced fellowship and spent a year at Imperial College London before moving to King's College London in October 2011. He was promoted to Reader in 2015 and became a Professor of Theoretical Physics in 2019. His research interests focus on string theory and supersymmetric field theories, particularly studying the interconnections between the AdS/CFT correspondence and localization in supersymmetric theories. He explores various calculational tools and techniques, including minimal string surfaces and matrix models, to evaluate observable quantities in gauge theories. Beyond academia, Nadav is an accomplished ceramic artist whose works incorporate elements of his scientific research and have been exhibited in both private and public galleries.
