Nadia Harbeck is the head of the Breast Center and Oncological Day Clinic at the Women's Hospital of Ludwig Maximilians University Munich (LMU). She is a professor of Conservative Oncology at LMU Munich. She completed her specialist training at the Women's Hospital of the Technical University of Munich and her medical studies at LMU Munich. Prior to her appointment at LMU Munich, she led the Breast Center at the University of Cologne from 2009 to 2011. Her translational research emphasizes prognostic and predictive factors in breast cancer and other solid tumors. She has a strong interest in eHealth and co-developed CANKADO, an international digital patient diary. Harbeck is the author of over 480 publications in peer-reviewed journals and serves as coordinating editor-in-chief of the journal Breast Care. She is a member of numerous international consensus conferences on breast cancer, such as ABC and the St. Gallen Consensus Conference on early breast cancer. For her clinical-translational research, she received the ESMO Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020, along with several other awards and recognitions.
