Dr. Nadia Mujahid is an Associate Professor of Medicine and a Clinician Educator at Brown University, where she co-directs the Geriatric Fracture Program at Rhode Island Hospital. Since starting this program in 2011, she has successfully reduced hospital length of stay, patient mortality, and readmission rates, leading to the development of four additional co-management programs within Brown, including Geriatric Trauma Co-management and Geriatric Co-management for various specialties. A recipient of the Providence Business News Forty Under 40 award in 2014, Dr. Mujahid is recognized nationally for her contributions to Geriatric Co-management and has served as a speaker at the annual American Geriatrics Society meetings from 2014 to 2021. In 2019, she was honored with the AGSF award by the American Geriatrics Society. Currently, Dr. Mujahid is the Director of the mandatory Geriatric Medicine rotation for Internal Medicine residents and oversees the Geriatrics Orthopedic rotation for Geriatric Medicine fellows at Brown. She also holds the position of Medical Director for the Transitional Care Unit at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she provides care for inpatients and outpatients. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two young children.
