Nadine Fabbi is an Acting Assistant Professor and the Director of the Canadian Studies Center at the Jackson School of International Studies. Appointed in 1999, she has been pivotal in transforming the Center from a modest unit into a well-known global player with an international reputation. Nadine has led numerous projects, including initiatives to build Arctic minors in the contiguous United States and establishing the nation’s Fulbright Canada Visiting Chair in Arctic Studies. Her research interests center on understanding the Arctic as a unique field within area studies and international studies and examining how Arctic Indigenous internationalism influences international relations, particularly through the Arctic Council. She is also focused on the policy implications of spatial activism and the effects of foreign and domestic policies on reshaping international relations with a lens on social justice.
