Biography

Nadir Ijaz is a pediatric intensive care physician, implementation scientist, and global child health researcher. His research focuses on implementing evidence-based interventions for children with pneumonia in resource-constrained settings, optimizing resource availability and utilization for acutely ill children, and developing interventions to address the social and structural determinants of health for hospitalized children. Over the past decade, Dr. Ijaz has conducted international research in close collaboration with colleagues in Pakistan and Ghana. He aims to engage diverse stakeholders through participatory research approaches. Dr. Ijaz completed his MD at Stanford University School of Medicine and pursued his residency in general pediatrics at Children's Hospital Philadelphia, followed by fellowship training in pediatric critical care medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.
