Professor Dr. Nadja Alexander

Biography

Nadja Alexander is a Professor of Law at Singapore Management University and the Director of the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA). She obtained her Ph.D. in Law from Eberhard Karls University Tübingen in 1999. Her academic career includes previous roles as a Senior Fellow at the Dispute Resolution Institute at Mitchell Hamline Law School and positions at the University of Queensland, where she directed the Conflict Resolution and Practice program and the Dispute Management Centre. Dr. Alexander specializes in areas including Alternative Dispute Resolution, International Private Law, Mediation, and Comparative Law. She has authored and edited numerous publications in her field, with her recent works addressing mediation practices and laws across different jurisdictions. She is actively involved in various mediation institutes and advisory boards, contributing to the development and understanding of dispute resolution both locally and internationally.
