Biography

Nadja Kempter obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Zurich and a Master's degree, during which she conducted research on blood donation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Currently, she is a doctoral researcher involved in the SNSF Project 'Aspiration Change 4.0: Making Innovation in Vietnam'. Her PhD project focuses on high-tech agribusinesses in Vietnam, examining the actors, relations, practices, and frictions related to the integration of high-tech agriculture with existing agricultural practices. Nadja is supervised by Prof. Dr. Annuska Derks and is deeply engaged with the intersections of social practices, cultural norms, and economic realities within the contexts of medical anthropology and food studies.
