Biography

Naghmeh Nasiritousi is an Associate Professor at Linköping University, focusing on global climate energy governance and the legitimacy and effectiveness of international institutions. Her research examines the complex roles of non-state actors in global climate change governance, with a keen interest in the multilevel governance involved in climate politics. She completed her PhD at Linköping University in 2016, where she explored the intricacies of international climate negotiations. Nasiritousi has also studied at the University of St. Andrews and the University of London, SOAS. She is a co-director of the Centre for Climate Science Policy Research (CSPR) and has held a research fellowship at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, where she leads a project investigating the EU’s mission to approach climate-neutral cities and accelerate energy transitions, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. Her areas of expertise include global governance, multilateral negotiations, and environmental politics.
