Biography

Najeed Saleh is a Professor of Clinical Restorative Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine and Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs. He obtained his D.M.D. and Prosthodontics certificate from the Hebrew University, Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in 1979 and 1983, respectively. Dr. Saleh became a Diplomate of the Israeli Board of Prosthodontics in 1985 and taught at the Hadassah School for eleven years, focusing on prosthodontics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. In 1990, he moved to the United States for a sabbatical and became a visiting assistant professor at Penn Dental Medicine, where he joined the faculty and became licensed to practice in the U.S. In his roles at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Saleh has served as Chief of Prosthodontics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (2005–2010), Acting Co-Chair of the Department of Preventive & Restorative Sciences (2005–2006), and Director of Comprehensive Care Clinics (2009–2016). His research interests include clinical trials testing dental material performance, CAD/CAM technologies, and immediate loading of dental implants, with expertise in full-mouth rehabilitation and aesthetic cases involving crowns, bridges, and dentures.
