Biography

Nalleli Vivanco Karlsson is a Pediatric Clinical Nutritionist with a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology. She began her career in pediatric nutrition in Mexico in 2003 at the Hospital Infantil de México (Federico Gómez), a high-specialty pediatric hospital in Mexico City. In 2005, she pursued her Master's degree in Sciences at the National Cardiology Institute, focusing on a project evaluating the effects of malnutrition on children with congenital cardiopathy. From 2009 to 2012, she developed her PhD project examining the relationships between Vitamin D, physical activity, and skin tone genes in the Mexican adult population. Since 2018, she has been working as a pediatric nutritionist in Sweden, amassing clinical experience in cardiology, neonatology, gastroenterology, and enteral and parenteral nutrition. Nalleli is affiliated with Karl Mårild's research group, which focuses on gastrointestinal epidemiology, and is currently involved in ongoing collaboration on screening for malnutrition in patients with inflammatory bowel disease and dietary therapy for individuals with Crohn's disease.
