Biography

Nam worked at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital for 15 years in midwifery roles and has extensive experience in a high dependency unit and Birth Centre. As an advocate for Freedom to Speak, she completed the CapitalMidwife Ethnic Minority Midwives Fellowship and is a CapitalMidwife fellow. In her role as a fetal monitoring specialist midwife at GSTT, she has led fetal monitoring training at King's College London. Her passionate work aims to improve the understanding of fetal physiological responses to stress during the intrapartum period, with a particular interest in the role of Chorioamnionitis in complicating labor. Nam continues to work on the labor ward to maintain her clinical credibility and takes on the role of Teaching Lead for fetal monitoring at King's College London.
