Dr. Namrata Dey Roy

Biography

Namrata Dey Roy is a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, Georgia Institute of Technology. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. from Georgia State University, an M.Phil. from Rabindra Bharati University in India, and an M.A. from the University of Calcutta, also in India. With a focus on Discourse Analysis, Gender Studies, and Global English Literature, she is actively involved in the Writing Communication Program. Her research interests span various critical areas including Language Translation, Postcolonial Literature, Gender Studies, and Subaltern Studies. Namrata has a keen interest in addressing issues related to African Studies, Globalization, and Literary Theory. She has assisted in courses like English Composition and has participated in examining the intersections of culture and communication in literature. Namrata’s commitment to fostering understanding in these fields is evident in her teaching and research pursuits.
