Biography

Dr. Nancy L. Martin has over twenty years of teaching experience in upper-year undergraduate and graduate courses focusing on Microbiology, Bacteriology, and Biochemistry. She has taught a variety of courses including Microbial Pathogens, Gene Structure Function, Advances in Bacteriology, Microbial Viral Pathogens, Mechanisms of Metabolic Control, Signal Transduction, and Protein Structure & Function. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Martin has extensive experience supervising undergraduate and graduate research projects in Microbiology. Her academic background includes a PhD in Microbiology from the University of British Columbia, obtained in 1991. Dr. Martin is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University, where she continues to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists.
