Nancy Reid studied at the University of Waterloo (B.Math. 1974), University of British Columbia (M.Sc. 1976), Stanford University (Ph.D. 1979), and Imperial College, London (PDF 1980). Reid has held leadership roles in statistical science, including serving as Chair of the Department from 1997 to 2002 and as Scientific Director of the Canadian Statistical Sciences Institute from 2015 to 2019.
