Biography

Nancy Ringel, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. She received her MD from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU/Bellevue Hospital. Her training also includes a fellowship in Urogynecology/Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at Georgetown University/Medstar Health, where she earned her Master's in Clinical Translational Research. Dr. Ringel is double-board certified in Urogynecology and Obstetrics/Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Her research focuses on women's health, particularly addressing health disparities and making care equitable, and she has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field. Dr. Ringel specializes in pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and various surgical techniques in gynecology. She has held several leadership positions in national medical societies and is actively involved in mentoring and advising up-and-coming researchers in her area.
