Dr. Naomi Hammond

Biography

Naomi Hammond is a Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales and a Program Lead in the Critical Care Division at the George Institute for Global Health based in Sydney. She works part-time as an Intensive Care Clinical Research Manager at the Royal North Shore Hospital. With a robust academic background, Naomi has authored approximately 70 publications and has been awarded numerous scholarships, securing funding totaling 16 million Australian dollars. Her PhD research focused on knowledge translation in fluid resuscitation practices within critical care. Naomi's key research interests encompass fluid resuscitation, fever management, knowledge translation and implementation research, health economics, sepsis, and long-term outcomes following critical illness. She additionally holds significant positions, including Conjoint Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Medicine at UNSW and past Vice-Chair of the Australian New Zealand Intensive Care Society – Clinical Trials Group (ANZICS-CTG). Furthermore, she has served as the Intensive Care Research Coordinator Interest Group (IRCIG) and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Australian Critical Care journal, which is the official journal of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN). Currently, she chairs the ACCCN National Research Advisory Panel.
