Dr. Naomi Levin

Biography

Naomi Levin is a Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan. She has an extensive academic background with a B.S. and B.A. in Geology and Anthropology from Stanford University in 2000, followed by an M.S. from the University of Arizona in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Utah in 2008. Naomi's research focuses on understanding how Earth's organisms and landscapes respond to past climate change, utilizing fields such as Paleoclimate, Geochemistry, and Geology. Before joining the University of Michigan, she served as an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University from 2009 to 2016. She has engaged in significant postdoctoral work at the California Institute of Technology, further advancing her expertise in environmental sciences.
