Dr. Naomi Ogi

Biography

Naomi Ogi is a lecturer in Linguistics at the Australian National University. She completed her Ph.D. in Linguistics at the same institution in 2011. Prior to her doctorate, she earned a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Canberra, and a Master of Arts specialized in Applied Japanese Linguistics from Australian National University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts specialized in International Education from Waseda University in Japan. Her research interests include Pragmatics, Spoken Discourse, the interrelationship between Language and Gender, and the Culture-Language interface. Additionally, she focuses on Japanese language education and conducts contrastive studies between Japanese and Korean languages. She has contributed to the field through multiple research outputs and maintains an active presence in academic publishing.
