Biography

Narayanan Kasthuri, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago, specializing in neurobiology and neuroscience. His research primarily focuses on advanced imaging techniques such as expansion microscopy to visualize membrane structures at the ultrastructural level. Dr. Kasthuri has made significant contributions to understanding synaptic integration and the role of cortical inputs in spiny projection neurons. His work includes studies on the development of cortical synapses in various animal models, including mice and primates.
