Biography

Naresh Verma completed his PhD in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Sydney. He pursued research interests in microbial pathogenesis and vaccine development during his post-doctoral fellowship appointments at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Stanford University, USA. After five years of postdoctoral training, he returned to Australia to take a faculty position at the Australian National University. In 2005, he was admitted as a fellow of the Australian Society for Microbiology (FASM).
