Dr. Nassim Bozorgnia

Biography

Nassim Bozorgnia is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Science at York University. His research specializes in dark matter phenomenology, with a particular focus on direct dark matter detection and the local dark matter distribution. He utilizes high-resolution cosmological simulations and recent astronomical data to advance the understanding of dark matter distribution in the Milky Way. His long-term research goal is to identify the particle nature of dark matter and the distinct signatures of its distribution. Bozorgnia's work includes studying the implications of hydrodynamic simulations of galaxy formation and probing dark matter interactions with stellar streams. His research interests also extend to astroparticle physics. He engages in both computational and theoretical research in these fields.
