Biography

Natalee Caple is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Brock University. She is the author of nine books, including fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, and co-editor of an anthology of interviews with Canadian authors, alongside Michelle Berry. Her works have received numerous nominations, including the KM Hunter Award, the RBC Bronwyn Wallace Award, the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award, the ReLit Award, and the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. Her most recent novel, 'Calamity’s Wake,' was published in Canada by HarperCollins and in translation by Boréal for the French market. In addition to her prose, Caple has also released a poetry collection titled 'Love Chthulucene/Chthulucene,' published by Wolsak Wynn in Spring 2019. Her academic research interests encompass gender and genre studies, contemporary Canadian literature, creative writing, and feminist theory.
