Dr. Natalia Buza

Biography

Dr. Buza is a gynecologic and breast pathologist at Yale School of Medicine, where she has been a faculty member since 2010. She received her MD from the University of Pecs Medical and Health Science Center in Hungary. At Yale, she also completed her residency and fellowship training. As the Director of the Women's Health Pathology and the Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship Programs, Dr. Buza specializes in examining tissue samples to identify signs of gynecological cancers, including endometrial, ovarian, and cervical cancers. Her research interests encompass various aspects of gynecological pathology, including Gestational Trophoblastic Disease, and she has authored over 160 publications in the field. Dr. Buza actively contributes to notable medical journals, serving as an editorial board member and editor. She is also a leading expert in collaborative studies focused on enhancing diagnostic paths and treatment plans for patients suffering from specific types of cancers. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she engages in teaching and mentoring residents, underlining her commitment to the field of pathology.
