Dr. Natalie Baddour

Biography

Natalie Baddour holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, a Master of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. During her doctoral studies, Baddour spent time at the University of Toronto and was a Chevening Fellow at the University of Bath in the UK. She also holds an ARCT diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Currently, she is a professor and Chair in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Her research interests focus on mathematical modeling, dynamics, vibrations, and photoacoustics, with a specific emphasis on Fourier methods. Baddour has worked on various applications, including dynamics and mechanics of vibrations, non-destructive testing, and biomedical applications, all centralized around developing models to represent real-world problems and solutions.
