Dr. Natalie Banerji

Biography

Natalie Banerji is a full professor and group leader in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Bern. Since December 2020, she has also served as the President of the Bernese Chemical Society. Her research focuses on femtosecond spectroscopy and organic electronic materials, aiming to investigate processes that occur on ultrashort time scales and at ultrasmall length scales. She employs a range of complementary techniques, including time-resolved spectroscopy, pulsed photocurrent methods, terahertz experiments, and Stark-effect spectroscopy, to explore the functionalities of organic hybrid materials in electronic devices. Banerji's commitment to advancing the field is reflected in her numerous published works and active participation in scientific communities.
