Natalie Clavel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Carleton University in 2002, followed by medical training at the University of Ottawa, where she specialized in Anesthesiology. In 2012, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Her research interests focus on health systems policy evaluation, physician performance accountability, and the practical application of business theory to perioperative quality improvement. Natalie is an active member of the Canadian Association of Health Services and Policy Research (CAHSPR), the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL), and is involved in quality initiatives within the OMA Anesthesiology Section. Since joining the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University Health Network in March 2014, she has contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education as the faculty site lead for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship Program (LInC) at the University of Toronto.
