Natalie Courtman is a specialist veterinary clinical pathologist involved in clinical pathology research across a broad range of species. Her primary interests are related to feline and canine health, as well as wildlife and production animal health. Natalie graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney and spent nine years in small animal practices in Australia and the UK before embarking on her veterinary clinical pathology career. Natalie has extensive experience working in both private diagnostics and academia and worked at the University of Melbourne from 2014 to 2021, where she led the clinical pathology service for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students and trained residents in clinical pathology. She joined the University of Sydney in May 2023, where she continues her passion for teaching and diagnostic clinical pathology training for DVM students while supporting the Veterinary Pathology Diagnostic Service. Currently, she also serves as the Director of the DVM course, with her research aligning with the Faculty of Science's Research Strength - Healthy Animals.
