Biography

Natalie Crown is an Associate Professor in the Teaching Stream and Director of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. She has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc. Pharm) from Dalhousie University, completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in conjunction with Dalhousie, and earned a post-baccalaureate PharmD at the University of Toronto. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she has practiced primarily in general internal medicine and cardiology within ambulatory care settings. Dr. Crown has played a pivotal role in co-developing accredited Canadian residency programs in ambulatory care, serving as program coordinator from 2012 to 2015 and as director from 2015 to 2021. She coordinates and teaches professional pharmacy programs, including courses in physical assessment and advanced pharmacy practice leadership. Her research interests focus on educational scholarship, particularly the use of simulation to enhance teaching practice skills and collaborative learning in large classroom environments.
