Biography

Natalie Naïri Quinn is a Departmental Lecturer and Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford, where she joined the Economics Department in 2022. She has previously held the position of Senior Research Officer at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), leading a mixed-methods project on the spatial spillover effects of cash transfer programmes. Concurrently, she is a Tutorial Fellow in Economics at Lady Margaret Hall. Natalie completed her DPhil and MPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford and holds a BA in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Cambridge. Her research interests lie at the intersection of welfare economics and development economics, with a focus on measuring socioeconomic outcomes related to poverty and empowerment. She also leads courses in Mathematics and serves as the subject lead for the Foundation Year in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE).
