Biography

Natalie J Tedford is a pediatric emergency medicine physician with a keen focus on social emergency medicine and health equity. She completed her medical degree at McGovern Medical School UTHealth in Houston, where she also earned a concentration in medical humanities. Dr. Tedford furthered her education with a master of science degree in public health with a focus on health promotion from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Following her graduation, she completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, where she served as Lead Resident Advocacy during her final year in the Pediatric Global Health Track. Her combined fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine and global health took place at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Tedford is currently involved in NIH-funded research, looking into the impact of community services on COVID-related health outcomes and developing goal-setting interventions for community service utilization. Passionate about cycling, running, swimming, and Nordic skiing, she also enjoys painting watercolors, reading, and plant-based cooking in her leisure time.
