Biography

Natalie Ward is a Senior Research Fellow at the Dobney Hypertension Centre within the Medical School of the University of Western Australia. Her primary research interests focus on the pathogenesis of vascular dysfunction and atherosclerosis, lipid disorders, and alternative lipid-lowering therapies particularly in the context of statin intolerance. She has extensive experience both in animal studies and clinical research trials, including her current role as Registry Coordinator for the Statin Intolerance Registry and the DHC Hypertension Registry & Biobank. Furthermore, she serves on the Executive Board as Treasurer for the Australian Atherosclerosis Society and contributes to several editorial boards, including Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine and Scientific Reports. In addition to her role at UWA, she holds a Senior Lecturer position at Curtin University since July 2015.
