Biography

Natasha Jacobson received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2016. She became a licensed professional engineer in Manitoba in 2021 after completing her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at McGill University the same year. Her doctoral research focused on patented novel methods for biological pressure measurement. Natasha's postdoctoral research at the University of Manitoba centered on Biomedical Engineering. Raised in a family of engineers and educators, she follows this legacy by teaching as an instructor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering since 2022. Her teaching interests include collaborating with students on design projects that tackle innovative challenges for future engineers. Her research expertise lies in soft tissue mechanics, human modeling, and medical instrumentation.
