Biography

Nathalie Gaucher completed her training in pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Montreal, supplemented by a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Bioethics. As a clinician-researcher affiliated with the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center, she is a member of the Clinical Ethics Office at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montreal, where she is responsible for ethics workshops for specialized medicine residents. Her research interests include ethical issues in caring for children with complex and chronic illnesses, palliative care, emergency care ethics, and the impact of new technologies on care relationships. She has been a member of the Commission on Ethics in Science and Technology of Quebec (CEST) since 2021 and has chaired the scientific committee for the Clinical Ethics Day, held annually by the Clinical Ethics Office since 2018.
