Biography

Nathalie Reid is an Assistant Professor at the University of Regina and the Director of the Child Trauma Research Centre (CTRC). Her research program focuses on experiences, conversations, and wellbeing within educational settings. As the Director of CTRC, she engages in research across six priority areas, which include child and youth mental health and wellbeing, prevention and intervention strategies for children and youth, and supporting the mental health of educators and students in schools. Her work further addresses pre- and post-migration traumas affecting refugee and immigrant children, youth, and families, as well as aspects of climate trauma and support for public safety personnel and their families. Professor Reid aims to lead innovative and strength-based projects that engage and sustain the health and wellbeing of children and youth. Her research emphasizes the importance of effective knowledge translation and mobilization to ensure that research findings are applied in meaningful ways to serve the intended population.
