Biography

Nathalie Veillette is an associate professor at the School of Rehabilitation in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal and a researcher at the Research Center of the University Institute of Geriatrics of Montreal. She holds a dual degree in psychology (master's in neuropsychology) and occupational therapy and has a doctorate in biomedical sciences from the University of Montreal since 2008. She has also helped initiate the occupational therapy program at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, where she worked for 6 years. Since 1996, her practice as a clinician has led her to work in acute care hospitals and in community settings. Through these diverse experiences, she has specialized in emergency room practice. Her research primarily focuses on assessing the functional status of elderly patients in emergency consultations and transferring scientific knowledge related to functional status assessment in emergencies to knowledge users to contribute to the provision of effective health services.
