Biography

Cellist Nathan Cook is recognized for his authoritative, relaxed playing and sweet, pliant sound, as praised by the Houston Chronicle. He is a founding member of the Trinitas Chamber Ensemble and has performed extensively in Canada and the U.S. Midwest, including venues in Washington, DC. Cook's performances have been broadcasted regionally on CBC Radio and NPR stations, reinforcing his presence in the music community. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Grinnell College, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Colgate University, and both a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where he studied under notable instructors. Cook's dedication to music not only includes performance but also a commitment to continue fostering contemporary compositions alongside celebrated works in classical music.
