Biography

Naveed Rizvi is an Associate Professor and Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent mental health at Western University. His clinical expertise includes Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Psychopharmacology, and Tele-mental Health. Dr. Rizvi is actively involved in addressing the mental health needs of children and youth through collaborative community-based strategies. He serves as a consultant in the Child Adolescent Mental Health Care Program at London Health Sciences Centre, where he leads the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Clinic and is the Medical Director of the 'Western Hub' Tele-mental Health Program. His efforts include videoconferencing consultations and assessments for youth while also providing education to community mental health agencies, schools, and health professionals. Dr. Rizvi is a full-time faculty member, providing supervision and education for medical students, residents, and sub-specialty fellows. He completed his medical education at Dow Medical College in Pakistan and pursued residency at Cooper Hospital Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Living, University of Connecticut, USA.
