Biography

Naveed Sultan is a globally recognized international banker and advisor to boards, CEOs, senior business leaders, and policymakers in the areas of strategy, digital transformation, sustainability, leadership, and culture change. He currently serves as a Professor of Practice at Imperial College Business School and Co-Director of the Centre of Financial Technology. With a long distinguished career, he has held senior leadership positions that led multibillion-dollar global businesses. Mr. Sultan served as Chairman of Citi's Institutional Clients Group (ICG), where he developed and led Citi's digital policy and strategy. His work has provided valuable guidance to governments developing policies to digitize economies, especially in financial systems to ensure stability. He has a deep understanding of distributed finance, emerging financial technologies, digital assets, and the implications of these on financial institutions and the financial system overall. Notably, Mr. Sultan facilitated the liberalization of financial markets in Pakistan and pioneered worker remittances solutions in Saudi Arabia. As a member of Imperial College Business School’s Advisory Board, he also established the Centre for Financial Technology and the Centre for Responsible Leadership to prepare today’s and tomorrow’s leaders.
