Biography

Navid Azizan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 2020, following a Master's degree from the University of Southern California in 2015 and a Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology in 2013. Azizan previously held a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University and a research scientist intern position at Google DeepMind. He has received several accolades, including the Alfred H. Jean M. Hayes Career Development Chair and the Frank E. Perkins Award for excellence in graduate advising. In addition, he has contributed to numerous publications and is actively engaged in mentoring undergraduate research. His teaching involves courses related to numerical computation and dynamics control.
