Navid Saleh is a professor at the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining UT Austin, he was an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina. His research interests focus on the applications and implications of nanomaterials, including evaluating nano-bio interactions in environmental and biological systems, utilization of nanomaterials in advanced infrastructure, and conducting community-engaged research to evaluate water quality in low-income communities across the U.S. Saleh's lab has received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the National Institute of Health (NIH), and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). His research group has published 75 peer-reviewed journal articles, which have received more than 6,800 citations. He serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Hazardous Materials and is a member of the board for the Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization.
