Biography

Navid Valizadeh is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Dell Medical School and serves as the Associate Program Director for the Neurology Residency Program. He is a member of the neurocritical care service at Dell Seton Medical Center and also holds faculty appointments at Dell Medical School. Valizadeh has extensive training in internal medicine and adult neurology, completing his residency at the National University of Ireland and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He further honed his expertise through fellowships in Neurocritical Care and Neuroimmunology at prestigious institutions including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital. His clinical interests are centered on neurophysiological monitoring for severe acute injury, infectious and inflammatory disorders of the nervous system, including cerebral vasculitis and encephalitis. Valizadeh is also involved in medical education and plays an active role in managing the Complex Neuroimmunology Clinic at UT Health Austin. He is recognized for his contributions to the field with several honors, including the Purple Brain Service Award from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2018.
