Biography

Dr. Navkiran K. Shokar is a professor and the Associate Dean for Community Affairs at Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin. She is a tenured professor with over 20 years of experience in academic medicine as a clinician, educator, and clinical researcher. Shokar has received significant funding for her research from organizations such as the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas and the National Cancer Institute, and she has served as a reviewer for numerous journals. She is also an active member of several national steering committees in academic family medicine.
