Dr. Navneet Vidyarthi

Biography

Navneet Vidyarthi is a Professor in the Department of Supply Chain and Business Technology Management at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, where he has been a faculty member since July 2008. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences with a concentration in Supply Chain Operations Management from the University of Waterloo. He also has a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Windsor, and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, India. His research interests are broadly categorized into strategic design and tactical planning within logistics and supply chain management, with methodological interests including large-scale optimization, simulation-based optimization, and meta-heuristics. His recent work focuses on modeling and analyzing congestion risk, pooling integration, and aligning production, inventory, and distribution strategies in supply chain network design. His work has been published in respected journals including Transportation Science, IIE Transactions, and the International Journal of Production Research. He has received notable awards such as the NSERC Post Doctoral Fellowship and the NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship. He teaches courses in Operations Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management, and is a member of several professional societies including the Canadian Operational Research Society, the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, and the Production and Operations Management Society.
