Biography

Professor Acharya completed her LLB at the University of Alberta and practiced at the Edmonton law firm Reynolds, Mirth, Richards & Farmer. She has been part of the Schulich School of Law community since 2011, where she pursued graduate studies, earning her LLM in 2012 and PhD in 2017. Her current research interests include Alternative Dispute Resolution, Civil Procedure, Procedural Justice, Legal Theory, and Medical Negligence. Nayha has taught courses in Civil Procedure, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Introduction to Law, and Legal Ethics. Additionally, she served as an instructor for the IOI-Canada Ocean Governance Training Program, where she led a session on Negotiation Theory and Practice.
