Dr. Nazema Siddiqui

Biography

Nazema Y. Siddiqui is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. She is a clinician-scientist specializing in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, leading the Duke Urogenital Microbiome (Ur-BIOME) Research Program. Her research focuses on the microbial factors that influence recurrent urinary tract infections and overactive bladder. Dr. Siddiqui serves as the principal investigator for Duke in the Pelvic Floor Disorders Network, a National Institutes of Health-sponsored collaboration aimed at improving clinical outcomes for women experiencing pelvic floor disorders. She completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Duke University and holds additional degrees and training from the University of Michigan and MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Siddiqui has received numerous grants for her research from reputable organizations including the National Institute of Health and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. She is actively involved in professional activities and has presented her research at various conferences, contributing significantly to the fields of women's health and urology.
