Biography

Neel Prasad earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of the Pacific in 1996. He worked with Target/CVS Health for many years, holding multiple roles, and has been actively involved as a preceptor in the School's PharmD program for 17 years. In 2016, he became a faculty member and the Regional Coordinator for Modesto/East Bay. He was awarded the Preceptor of the Year for the Modesto region in 2016. Prasad is also engaged with his community through various projects organized by Target, such as park clean-ups and food bank volunteering. He graduated from the University in 1996, got married, and began his career as a pharmacist. Prasad and his wife, originally from the Fiji Islands, have two sons and a love for family travel. They often visit Fiji, where his wife’s family resides. Neel enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and is a sports enthusiast with favorite teams including the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Yankees. His teaching philosophy focuses on creating a learning environment that maximizes student knowledge and facilitates the application of that knowledge in practice.
