Biography

Negin Hesam Shariati is a Lecturer at the University of New South Wales and a research fellow at Neuroscience Research Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, and completed her PhD in Medical Sciences at UNSW in 2018. Her research focuses on developing and investigating neurofeedback systems aimed at helping individuals suffering from chronic pain. As the lead of the Neurotherapy Chronic Pain program at the NeuroRecovery Research Hub, she employs novel approaches to assist patients in regaining control over their brain activity, ultimately aiming to reduce their pain levels. Negin is affiliated with the Centre Pain IMPACT at Neuroscience Research Australia, collaborating on various research initiatives.
