Biography

Neha J. Pagidipati, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and a cardiovascular disease prevention specialist at the Duke University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on cardiometabolic disease prevention and lifestyle modification for weight management. Dr. Pagidipati is currently an NIH K12 scholar in Implementation Dissemination Science and is building the Duke Cardiometabolic Disease Prevention Program, which emphasizes behavior change and risk factor management in patients at high risk for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. Her program collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, and hepatologists to provide coordinated care for high-risk patients. Dr. Pagidipati's research portfolio includes several grants aimed at improving the quality of care for patients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease, including the COORDINATE-Diabetes Trial and the QuBBD study. She has previously served as a study clinician in the large EXSCEL trial and is currently involved in nationwide research on obesity management. Dr. Pagidipati received her MD from Harvard Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Duke University, respectively.
