Neil Abramson holds a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Saskatchewan, an M.A., an M.B.A., and a Ph.D. from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He began his career managing his own human resource management consulting and training company, as well as advertising and import/export businesses. In 1992, Neil joined the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University as a faculty member specializing in strategy. His research interests encompass strategies in international business, cross-cultural management decision making, and international organizational theory with a particular focus on business in China and Southeast Asia. He is also interested in the intersection of ethics and leadership. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Neil engages in studies of theology and ethics and seeks to apply these insights to effective leadership practices. His cultural interests include learning Chinese brush painting, Japanese garden creation, and writing haiku poetry. Throughout his career, Neil has published various articles and contributed to books focusing on cultural differences and leadership.
